Using Admin Reports

What are Admin reports?

Betterworks lets Admins generate reports that shows usage and adoption metrics in their organization. Different types of reports are available depending on your needs.

What do they do?

There are two key questions that the betterworks report helps to answer:

  1. Who still needs to complete actions? (User Activity Report, Conversations Adoption/Answers Reports, Feedback Adoption/Answers Reports)
  2. What is the quality of the activity happening? (All Goals Report, Conversation Answers Report, Feedback Answers Report)

These reports can be found under Admin > Program Management >

  • Usage Dashboard (User Activity Report, Conversation Adoption Report); and
  • Reports (All other reports)

Accessing Admin Reports

To generate a report, follow these steps:

  1. Click Admin in top navigation.
  2. Click Program management and then Reports as in the screenshot below.
  3. Select the report type (Activity, Goals/Objectives, Conversations, Feedback)
  4. Select a date range and then which report.
  5. Click Generate Report 
  6. Download the report from the link once it's delivered to your email inbox. Note that links expire after 24 hours.

Recognition Report

  1. Employee ID
  2. First Name
  3. Preferred Name - Optional field provided by an Admin
  4. Last Name
  5. Email
  6. Department
  7. Parent Department
  8. Location - Optional field provided by an Admin
  9. Title
  10. Goal Mode - Goals Lite or Goals Pro depending on Admin assignment of access
  11. Date Provisioned - Date the account was added to betterworks
  12. Last Login
  13. On Leave - Optional field provided by an Admin
  14. Is Deactivated - Related to the status of the account
  15. Has Activated - Shows if someone has logged in to the account at any point in time
  16. Is a User Admin
  17. Is a Super Admin
  18. Is a Goal Master
  19. No. of Logins
  20. % of Days Active - (Days logged in)/(Amount of days between provisioned date and today)
  21. No. of Direct Reports
  22. Manager
  23. Manager Email
  24. Top-Level Leader - Highest leader of the group noted in the Org Chart
  25. Second-Level Leader - Manager's manager noted in the Org Chart
  26. <Hashtag> given - Hashtag is dynamically populated based on what an Admin uploaded
  27. <Hashtag> received - Hashtag is dynamically populated based on what an Admin uploaded

 

User Activity Report

  1. Employee ID
  2. First Name
  3. Preferred Name - Optional field provided by an Admin
  4. Last Name
  5. Email
  6. Department
  7. Parent Department
  8. Location - Optional field provided by an Admin
  9. Title
  10. Goal Mode - Goals Lite or Goals Pro depending on Admin assignment of access

All Goals Report

  1. Employee ID
  2. Goal Owner
  3. Preferred Name - Optional field provided by an Admin
  4. Email
  5. Department
  6. Parent Department
  7. Location - Optional field provided by an Admin
  8. Title
  9. Goal Mode - Goals Lite or Goals Pro depending on Admin assignment of access
  10. On Leave - Optional field provided by an Admin
  11. Is Deactivated - Shows the account status in the system
  12. Manager
  13. Manager Email
  14. Matrix Manager - Optional field provided by an Admin that is outside traditional reporting hierarchy
  15. Goal Name
  16. Categories - Category assigned to the goal (if enabled)
  17. Detail - Optional description of the goal input by goal owner
  18. # of Milestones
  19. Aligned - Populated if the goal is aligned with another
  20. Visibility - Shows if a goal is set to private or public
  21. % Complete - Percent progress made on the goal
  22. Start Date - Date the goal becomes active
  23. End Date - Date by which goal should be completed
  24. Latest Assessment Score - Score given in last assessment (if enabled) *
  25. Latest Assessment Comment - Comment given in last assessment (if enabled)
  26. Latest Assessment Date - Date of last assessment (if enabled)
  27. Top-Level Leader - Highest leader of the group noted in the Org Chart
  28. Second-Level Leader - Manager's manager noted in the Org Chart

 

Conversation Adoption Report

  1. Employee ID

  26. Expected Submissions - Total number of conversations the individuals is expected to submit (only applicable if Admin Review Period dates are in use)
  27. Conversation Submitted - Number of conversations where the individual has clicked "Submit"
  28. Expected Meetings - Total number of conversations the individual is expected to check the confirm we met box
  29. Confirmed As Met - Number of conversations where the individual or their counterpart has checked the confirm we met box

  1. Direct Employee ID

  8. Direct On Leave - Y/N based on optional field provided by an Admin

  12. Custom Fields (up to 5) - Optional field provided by an Admin
  13. Manager Employee ID
  14. Manager First Name
  15. Manager Last Name

  24. Custom Fields (up to 5) - Optional field provided by an Admin
  25. Conversation Status - This column summarizes the Direct and Manager Statuses
  26. Direct Status - This column will show one of the following: Has not started, In progress, Submitted, Shared
  27. Manager Status - This column will show one of the following: Has not started, In progress, Submitted, Shared
  28. Direct Notes - These are the notes that the direct report has written at the bottom of the conversation which are visible by both
  29. Manager Notes - These are the notes that the manager has written at the bottom of the conversation which are visible by both
  30. Direct Question #x - Each question will have its own columns for Question and then Answer (ex. if there are 6 questions, there will be 12 columns)
  31. Direct Answer #x - Answers will be returned in this column once the answers have been either Submitted or Shared. For rating scale answers, it will return the display value (ex. if there are labels entered, the labels will be returned here)
