Assessing your Objectives

Why Assess?

One can perform assessments on active objectives, completed objectives, objectives that have passed their due dates, or key results. Your Administrators will decide how, when and at what cadence you are to assess your objectives. A typical assessment will consist of a brief explanation that reflects on the progress made on your objective throughout the quarter.

Also, this may be optional or mandatory, depending on the design of your program. If your organization requires objective (goal) scoring for assessments, you will not be able to assess unless you add in a score. You will also be prompted when you complete the objective to enter a score or at the end of the business period.

From My Objectives, select Assessments and click Assess:

You will then provide the response:

Your Admin can allow your assessment to display publicly, as noted above. Alternatively, they can privatize the assessment, as shown below.

In some cases, you may be asked to score an objective. If scoring is enabled, you will see a "Score" icon on your objective. This may be optional or mandatory, depending on the design of your program. If your organization requires objective scoring for assessments, you will not be able to assess unless you add in a score.

There are 3 types of scores- number ratings, smiley faces, or colors.

Who can assess an Objective? 

Only the individual owner, the owner's manager, or an objective editor can provide an assessment of the objective. If you own a key result on an objective that is owned by someone else (ie: you are a contributor) you will not be able to provide an Assessment.
