Introduction
HR Insights is a dashboard where administrators can easily view user performance and activity. This will help administrators to identify any gaps early on and can take the necessary steps to achieve their desired outcomes.
Access & Settings
Super Admins and Admins have access to all of the data in the dashboard. However, HR Admins only have access to the data of users within their scope. For conversation data, both the manager and the direct report need to be in the HR Admin's scope. For more information about the differences between administrator types and their abilities, see this article.
As a Super Admin, you can configure the settings and benchmarks by going to:
Admin → Program Management → HR Insights → Settings
Dashboard
Note: Ad blocker extensions in your browser will prevent data from displaying. To resolve this, disable the ad blocker while using Betterworks or add app.betterworks.com (eu.betterworks.com for organizations on the EU data center) to your ad blocker's safelist.

Note: If a direct report's conversations contain additional contributors, the additional contributors' completion will impact the direct report's overall conversation completion rate. This means that if the direct report and manager complete their respective sides of a conversation, but the additional contributors do not, the conversation status will indicate that the conversation is incomplete and the direct report's overall conversation completion rate will decrease. Also, if a direct report is an additional contributor, the conversation that they are contributing to will be displayed among their conversations in the "View" overlay.

FAQs
Why is the count of conversations in HR Insights different from the Conversation Reports in Admin?
In HR Insights, the conversation count may vary because it excludes conversations involving any deactivated user. In contrast, Conversation Reports in Admin excludes conversations with deactivated direct reports by default. Please note: you have the option to include them when exporting the report.
Why is there a discrepancy in the UI between the bar graph and the displayed metric for scheduled conversations?
For scheduled conversations that contain a matrix manager and a manager in addition to the employee, there is a discrepancy between what the bar graph and metric percentage number displays.
- I.e., if the Conversation Status graph is filtered to scheduled conversation and the specific manager, and both the manager and direct report have completed the scheduled manager. The direct report has completed the conversation but the matrix manager hasn’t, the bar graph will display 100% completion and the metric percentage data will not match.
- Once the matrix manager completes the scheduled conversation, the metric percentage data should show 100% to match the graph. See image below for example reference:
Why is there a discrepancy between the number of goals in the All Goals Report vs. what is shown in the UI in HR Insights for HR Admin users?
- By default, we have the system enabled to allow HR Admins to view private goals both in the UI and admin reports. This feature can be turned off - reach out to your CSM or Support@betterworks.com to ensure this setting is configured appropriately to your organization.
