FAQ
Is it possible to access Betterworks Guides using Single Sign-On (SSO)?
No, Betterworks Guides accounts are provided to Signature Support customers and you will receive separate login details. Initial access to your Betterworks Guides account will be provided by your Betterworks Support Account Manager.
Do I need to consider my Betterworks environment when targeting a guide?
No. When targeting a Guide, your Betterworks environment with the desired target location will set a target associated with the BW URL (not impacted by chosen environment).
Will editing our Theme (i.e. colours, font styles, button sizes) automatically update any guides already created?
No. Guides will reflect the theme settings that were in place during the last time the guide was edited/saved. To apply theme changes to guides, you must go into each individual guide and reapply the theme.
What are the best practices for disabling/deleting guides?
The deletion of a guide will result in losing any visitor analytics associated with that guide. Therefore, it is recommended to disable unused (that were previously published/active) guides to retain historical data.
How can I tell if my guide is effective?
You can dig into metrics for each Guide in your account to view the number of views (repeat and first time), the time spent on a Guide, and actions taken within a Guide (i.e., link clicks or Guide dismissed). You can even drill down on specific links to view individuals who have clicked the call to action. These metrics are great for seeing if your guide is reaching your targeted audience and if the resources within the Guide are useful or should be reconsidered.
How many users can we have in our Betterworks Guides account?
There is no limit on adding users to your Betterworks Guides account. Betterworks Guides administrators are able to add additional users to your Guides account. These users will have access to the Betterworks Guides interface. See more on how to add users here.
Can we segment our population to only see certain guides?
Yes, by creating an applicable Admin Group within Betterworks or a segment within Betterworks Guides; see more here: Guide Settings: Segments.
How does scheduling a guide work?
The ability to schedule Guides to go live and choose a date/time for Guides to be removed can be set within your Betterworks Guides.
