Overview
Recognition Reports are admin-facing reports for the NextGen Recognition module. The Spring 2026 release introduced two Recognition Reports that surface insights from the recognition activity in your organization: the Recognition Hashtag Report and the Recognition Comments Report.
Before you begin
- Your role must have Reports access. Super Admins have full visibility, and HR Admins & Admins see data within their scope.
- The Recognition module must be enabled for your organization.
- Recognition data must exist in the selected date range for reports to be meaningful.
Available Recognition Reports
As of the Spring 2026 release, two Recognition Reports are available:
| Report | Focus | Use cases |
|---|---|---|
| Recognition Hashtag Report | Hashtag usage across recognition activity | Identify trending values, themes, or programs tied to recognition |
| Recognition Comments Report | Text content of recognition messages | Review comment content, surfacing notable recognition examples |
Recognition Hashtag Report
The Recognition Hashtag Report surfaces hashtag usage from recognition activity in the selected period, and includes the following fields:
- Hashtag name
- Hashtag use count
- Recognition count using the hashtag
- Date range filters
- Sender/recipient grouping
Use this report to:
- Track which hashtags trend over time (e.g., values-based hashtags, program-specific hashtags)
- Identify hashtag-driven recognition programs and measure their adoption
- Surface program gaps where intended hashtags aren't being used
Recognition Comments Report
The Recognition Comments Report surfaces the text content of recognition messages in the selected period.
- Date the recognition was given
- Comment text
- Author of the recognition, as well as their Department and email address
- Recipient, as well as their Department and email address
-
Name and Owner of the related Goal, if applicable
Use this report to:
- Audit recognition tone and quality across the organization
- Surface notable recognition examples for sharing or reviews
Where to find Recognition Reports
If enabled for your organization, Admins can access Recognition Reports via Admin > Program Management > Reports > Recognition tab.
FAQs
Can Admins (non-HR, non-Super Admin) access these reports? Yes, but limited to the data in their assigned scopes. Super Admins see full organization data, HR Admins see their HR Admin scope, and Admins see only data within their scope.
Why is there no data in my Recognition Reports? Please ensure that the time period you've filtered for definitely contains recognitions. For recognitions to appear in the Hashtag report, they must contain hashtags - comments without them will not be displayed.
