Production Environment

* Any mobile or integration updates are subject to approval by the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and/or the application that Betterworks is integrating with.

New

  • Analytics:
    • Manager Insights
      • Managers will now be able to filter results based on User Groups
  • Calibration: 
    • If no relevant results are found using the drop-down menu filters, users will now see a "No session includes your search criteria" message (instead of an empty page)
  • Feedback: 
    • Skip level managers will now be able to view manager-requested feedback (provided that the feedback template is configured for skip level visibility) 

Updates

  • Calibration:
    • Users will now have drop-down menu filters (instead of button filters)
  • Goals:
    • Users will now be able to leave text assessments without having to provide an assessment score
  • Engage:
    • When administrators view poll details, one-time polls will now show "Next One: Never" (as opposed to "Next One: Unknown") 
    • The results of open-text questions will now appear in the word cloud (under the "Categories" section of a survey report) 
  • Integrations:
    • LinkedIn Learning
      • LinkedIn Learning administrators (who are also Super Admins in Betterworks) will now be able to map users based on their ID instead of their email address

Bug Fixes

  • Analytics:
    • HR Insights
      • A bug that caused the "Conversation Status" card to be calculated incorrectly, has been fixed
      • A filter text mismatch has been corrected
      • Performance optimizations have been made for API access
      • An issue that caused slow loading when users attempted to view "Completion ranked by manager shared" has been corrected
  • App Platform:
    • An issue that caused slow loading when a Super Admin attempted to create a new user group has been corrected
  • Conversations:
    • Erroneous default text informing managers that their direct report will "get an email..." regarding their anytime conversation (even when notifications have been disabled for that template) has been corrected
  • Engage:
    • A bug that prevented poll settings from being saved has been fixed
    • A bug that resulted in a miscount of poll results (specifically for Y/N and multiple-choice questions) has been fixed
    • A bug that prevented administrators (in some organizations) from segmenting results in a survey report has been fixed
    • A bug that left poll results (for some organizations) public when results were configured to be private has been fixed
  • Feedback:
    • A bug that allowed some managers to view feedback responses to multiselect-type questions via the Feedback Summary printout (even when the template is not configured to allow manager visibility) has been fixed
    • A bug that caused a "0.0" answer average to display for star-type and scale-type questions via the Feedback Summary printout has been fixed
  • Integrations:
    • Outlook
      • A bug that prevented the Betterworks add-in from functioning in Microsoft 365 versions earlier than 16.0.11629 (Windows 10) has been fixed
      • A bug that prevented the Betterworks add-in from functioning in the Safari browser has been fixed
    • MS Teams
      • A bug that caused the incorrect goals to display on the Betterworks bot's weekly summary notification has been fixed
    • LinkedIn Learning
      • An issue that prevented users from seeing an error message beneath their integrated milestones if/when their administrator disabled LinkedIn Learning (via the Betterworks Admin module) has been corrected
      • Email addresses will no longer be considered case-sensitive when mapping a Betterworks user to their LinkedIn Learning profile
    • Udemy
      • A bug that prevented course progress from syncing has been fixed

Preview Environment: Coming In 2 Weeks

  • Calibration: 
    • User talent records will now be alphabetized with a session
  • Integrations:
    • Slack
      • Users will now be able to submit a recognition post that @ mentions several users even if one of those users doesn't have the Slack integration enabled on their end

Updates

  • Accessibility:
    • Various subtle updates (i.e. icon design, alternate text, etc.) designed to improve navigation for users who rely on screen readers
  • Analytics:
    • In the Usage Dashboard (under the "Breakdown" and "Underlying Data" tabs), Super Admins will now be able to search for a user by their email address
    • HR Insights
      • If a conversation is not using a particular option, the associated metric will not display in the Conversation Status Summary (i.e. if a conversation does not include an Admin Review period, the "Manager Submitted to HR" metric will not display)

  • Accessibility:
    • Various subtle fixes (i.e. icon design, alternate text, etc.) designed to improve navigation for users who rely on screen readers
  • Analytics:
    • A bug that causes deactivated users to be left out of reports from the Usage Dashboard (when "Include deactivated users" is selected) will be fixed
    • HR Insights
      • A bug that results in a conversation miscount in the Conversation Status Summary (for some organizations) will be fixed
  • Calibration:
    • A bug that prevents paragraph-type conversation responses from being pulled into a session (for some organizations) will be fixed
    • A bug that prevents an applied filter from returning the correct results (for some organizations) will be fixed
  • Conversations:
    • A bug that causes the "Take Ownership" button to appear distorted (for managers who took over a conversation) will be fixed
    • A bug that results in duplicate edit requests (when a manager requests to edit a conversation that they previously took over) will be fixed
    • A bug that triggers the "Confirm meeting on [date]" text for additional contributors will be fixed
    • A bug that causes a "View Conversation" button to display in a conversation (as opposed to a "Confirm Meeting" button) will be fixed
    • A bug that triggers ad-hoc program emails to deactivated users (managers only) will be fixed
    • A bug that triggers automatic notifications to deactivated users will be fixed
  • Feedback:
    • A bug that prevents some users from viewing a user's goals in the right-side panel of their feedback card will be fixed
    • A bug that prevents Super Admins from receiving an error message if/when they set an invalid hard word limit in a feedback template will be fixed
    • A bug that prevents Super Admins from cloning questions in the default anytime feedback template will be fixed
    • A bug that prevents the "Request to edit" button from being displayed on a completed feedback card will be fixed
    • A bug that results in an incorrect feedback count on the print preview of the Feedback Summary will be fixed
    • A bug that triggers a "Select [#] of days" error even when the option for a "Mid-cycle reminder" notification is not selected will be fixed
    • A bug that removes visibility text on a feedback card (i.e. "This feedback is visible to [User]") will be fixed
    • A bug that disables the "Feedback created" notification option after it's been selected in a feedback template will be fixed
    • A bug that prevents skip level managers from re-sorting anytime feedback properly will be fixed
    • A bug that prevents skip level managers (who are also Super Admins) from seeing the provider of anonymous feedback will be fixed
  • Integrations:
    • Google Sheets
      • Betterworks will now disconnect automatically if/when a user's Google Workspace credentials are invalid (as opposed to retrying the connection multiple times) 
    • MS Teams
      • The user-select list for feedback will now display in alphabetical order
