Updates
· SAML SSO Signing Algorithm Upgrade to SHA-256
Betterworks has upgraded the SAML Service Provider signing algorithm to SHA-256, improving security and compatibility with Identity Providers (IdPs) that require SHA-256. This update also resolves authentication failures experienced with IdPs enforcing SHA-256.
Fixes
· An update has been made to improve organization switching during user impersonation in multi-organization environments. Impersonation sessions now maintain the appropriate organization context when switching between organizations.
· Fixed an issue where administrators could encounter a 403 error when accessing the User Management page during an impersonation session. User Management can now be accessed as expected based on the administrator's assigned permissions.
MCP
New
· Betterworks MCP tool and prompt access has been updated to account for both organization-level availability and individual user permissions. When using MCP, available functionality now reflects the Betterworks modules and features that the organization and individual user have access to.
Access is also applied consistently across supported authentication methods. If a user attempts to use an MCP tool or prompt that is not available to them, a clear authorization message is returned.
This update provides more consistent access to MCP functionality while ensuring that users can only use tools associated with the Betterworks features available to them.
Conversations, Feedback, and Recognition
Fixes
· Conversations - Fixed an issue affecting some organizations where responses to confidential conversation questions and preliminary ratings were not retained after saving and sharing a conversation. Responses and ratings are now saved and displayed as expected when the conversation is reopened.
· Conversations - Fixed an issue where a new manager who had previously participated in a scheduled conversation as a contributor could be unable to view or respond to conversation questions after taking ownership. New managers in this scenario can now access and complete the appropriate conversation questions as expected.
AI
Fixes
· Writing Assistant has been updated to more consistently keep generated suggestions within the selected word count, including when working with drafts up to 50% over the target length. For inputs that exceed the target word count by more than 50%, Writing Assistant now provides clearer guidance to shorten the draft before generating a suggestion, rather than displaying a generic error message.
Goals
New
· Global Search has been expanded to support Goals, Milestones, and Teams in addition to People. Users can now search for goals and milestones by name and view key details such as the owner, or search for teams and view team membership information directly from search results.
Updates
· Fixed an issue where entering special characters (such as '&') into autocomplete search triggered errors.
Fixes
· Fixed an issue where users could be unable to publish a Goal and Milestones hierarchy despite completing all required details. Goals and Milestones can now be saved and published as expected.
· Resolved an issue where selecting a new user as the owner on an existing Milestone failed to update the owner.
· Addressed a user interface issue where clearing the Owner search input using the cross (✕) icon closed the menu and prevented it from reopening when clicking.
1:1s
Fixes
· Fixed a bug where entering or clearing text in the 1:1 "Shared Notes" section appeared unsaved or disappeared until a manual page refresh.
· Resolved an issue in 1:1 meetings where adding or deleting agenda items failed to update the UI immediately and caused duplicated entries upon re-entering the meeting.
