Releases made to Betterworks NextGen - 30th June 2026
Analytics
Fixes
· A bug caused Super Admin > Audit Log reports with date ranges spanning multiple months to return only the 5 most recent days of data, instead of the full selected range. This has been rectified.
Homepage
Betterworks Core to Betterworks Engage navigation
· A dedicated 'Engage' menu item has been added to the NextGen left navigation sidebar. Users with Engage access can now navigate directly to Engage Insights without leaving the NextGen interface.
Goals
New
· Support has been implemented for Slack and MS Teams notifications for all NextGen Goals notification types.
· A new setting has been implemented for Progress ranges, to enable Goals and Milestones to be measured against defined ranges with a floor/ceiling instead of fixed targets, along with clear green/yellow/red thresholds.
· A feature has been introduced for enablement and configuration by Admins, whereby Goals can have percentage-based weights assigned in order to represent their relative importance during performance and compensation discussions.
· An enhancement was made to always show results which don’t match the filter under a Goal, instead of the user always being required to expand to view these.
Meetings
Updates
· An update was made to authentication between the Meetings and Calendar integration services, to be directly scoped to the individual calendar, thus removing reliance on the core authentication service. This streamlines request flows, and reduces dependency on org-level token validation.
Fixes
· An issue was identified with the Outlook integration whereby email addresses containing an apostrophe were not being processed correctly, causing a error. This has now been rectified.
Conversations
New
· A hard word limit has been implemented for paragraph questions in Conversations.
· Administrators and integration partners can now submit Conversation responses via the Betterworks API. The endpoint supports both single-question writes, and bulk submission in a single call. Supported question types include text, scale, and multiple choice. For further information on this please review our API Documentation.
· Admins can now configure conditional follow-up questions that appear based on a participant's response. For example, when a scale question is answered within a defined range, one or more follow-up questions are automatically surfaced, keeping the conversation focused and context-aware without overwhelming every participant. Follow-up questions support all response types (paragraph, scale, star rating, multi-select). This branching feature is currently available in Scheduled Conversations only.
